FROM TRAGEDY TO TRANSFORMATION

One Choice Changed Everything

Ethan Fisher's story begins with a choice that cost a life. At 23, a college basketball player, one night of drunk driving resulted in a 15-year sentence. But that wasn't the end of his story — it was the beginning.

I can't change my past, but I can change their future. Every student I reach, every life I save, is a step toward redemption.

23
Years Sober
Not one sip. Not once.

The Choice I Make Every Single Day

Twenty-three years ago, Ethan made a decision. Not a one-time decision — a daily one. Every morning he wakes up and chooses not to drink. Not during the pandemic. Not through divorce. Not through financial ruin. Not once.

That single daily choice is what keeps him in front of students. The moment he stops making it, he stops speaking. He stops helping. He stops being the person who walks into a school and changes a life.

Ethan is more proud of 23 years sober than his MBA, his book, or his basketball story. Because without it, none of the rest exists.

REAL IMPACT: THE COLORADO STORY

In 2018, Ethan spoke at a high school in Colorado. A student struggling with addiction and trauma from abuse heard his message. That student got sober that day.

Six years later, in December 2024, that same student found Ethan at an assembly in Tennessee. He had stayed sober for 6 years and wanted to say thank you. One assembly. One message. One life saved.

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

Real stories from students whose lives were transformed by one assembly

"

I saw you speak in 2018 when I was a high school student in Colorado. I was struggling with alcoholism and addiction because I had been molested by family members. After hearing your story, I got sober that day. In December 2024, I found you speaking at an assembly in Tennessee. I wanted you to know that I've been sober for 6 years because of your message. You saved my life.

I was going to kill myself. I had the plan, the date, everything ready. But then you came to our school and told your story. You talked about thinking of your mom and all the people who would be affected. I thought about my family, my little sister. I didn't go through with it. Thank you for saving my life without even knowing it.

I was failing every class and heading down a bad path. My parents had given up on me. But your assembly made me realize that I was throwing away my future. I went from a 1.2 GPA to a 3.8 GPA. I'm going to college now. I'm going to be the first person in my family to graduate. Thank you for believing in me when I didn't believe in myself.

This weekend I went to a party. My friend was drunk and wanted to drive home. Before your assembly, I would have just gotten in the car - I've done it dozens of times. But this time, I took his keys and called an Uber. You made me realize that one bad choice could ruin everything. Thank you for making me think twice.

I've been struggling with depression and self-harm for years. I felt completely lost and alone. When you spoke at our school, you talked about hitting rock bottom and finding a way back. You showed me that it's possible to come back from the darkest places. I'm getting help now. I'm not giving up.

I prayed for a sign. I literally asked God to show me something, anything, to help me before I did something I couldn't take back. The next day, you showed up at our school with a story that mirrored my own struggles. That wasn't a coincidence. That was an answer. You saved my life that day.

The Vision

BIGGER THAN
ONE STORY

LifeCON is building a roster of speakers whose stories reach every student — not just those who relate to Ethan's journey. Every student deserves to see themselves in someone on that stage.

The Current Reality

Ethan Fisher has delivered 750+ assemblies over 13 years. His story reaches students who connect with basketball, addiction, and depression. But some students need a different voice — a female speaker who overcame bullying, a veteran who found purpose, a survivor who looks like them.

The Goal

A roster of 5–10 speakers, each with a story as powerful as Ethan's. Schools that can't afford $1,500–$7,500 speaker fees get the same life-changing message as the schools that can. Funding makes that possible.
